Use these handcrafted floating ledges to display books, pictures, art, toys.
Ledges measure 2.5" on the back, 1.5" base (usable space) and 1.25" front lip and are made of solid Cherry hardwood and finished with a natural oil.
The entire ledge depth from wall to front is 3”.
Ledges mount through the back using pre-drilled holes and are simple to hang.
Pre-drilled holes are 16" apart (which is standard with most stud distances). Screws for mounting into studs (recommended- due to weight of hardwood) are included as well as sheetrock inserts.
Mounting hardware is rated for 25lbs per set of two studs. This mounting hardware included is optional and you may choose to use your own (molly bolts, etc.)
Ledges that are 96" or longer are made as one long piece, then cut in the center for shipment. Dowels are inserted on one ledge end for attachment prior to mounting.
Mahogany ledges darken naturally over time due to the natural oils within the wood. You may receive ledges that are slightly lighter than what you see in the photos, but they will darken over time. This process can be sped up with direct sunlight/UV light.
